My two cats fight over the top platform every morning, and the 8-inch-thick sisal poles have held up through weeks of aggressive scratching without a single fray. It’s sturdy enough that even my 14-pound chonk feels safe jumping from the highest level to the floor.
The 8-inch sisal poles have held up way better than the flimsy ones on our last tree, and the cats actually use them daily. Assembly took a bit longer than I expected, but the wide lying areas are sturdy enough that even our heavier cat doesn't wobble it.
