My cats are relentless on vertical scratching posts, and this 6-inch diameter pole hasn't budged or frayed after three weeks of daily abuse. The beige color blends nicely with our living room, and the M8 holes at both ends made swapping it onto our existing base a five-minute job.
The M8 screw holes at top and bottom lined up perfectly with my existing setup, so mounting it took less than five minutes. The 6-inch diameter feels sturdy enough for my 14-pound cat, though I wish it came a bit longer than 20 inches for taller climbers.
