The Royal Suite Beige, with its 8 inch thick sisal poles and large lying areas, has been one of the most popular cat trees from Cat Tree King for years. This is because of the many scratching possibilities, lying areas, the super large cat Lounge measuring 24 inch wide and its luxurious appearance!
My older cat claimed the top lying area within an hour and hasn't left it since—the space is genuinely generous for a bigger breed. The sisal poles feel dense and rough enough that she actually prefers them over the couch now.
The 8-inch sisal poles have survived six months of daily clawing without fraying, which is more than I can say for anything from the pet store. My older cat finally stopped draping herself over my keyboard now that the top perch is big enough for her to stretch out fully.
My two cats immediately claimed the large lying areas on the top platforms, and they actually nap side by side up there without fighting for space. Even the chunkiest of them can stretch out fully, and the sisal poles are thick enough that they've stopped eyeing my couch entirely.
